The Northwest Christian Crusader team defeated the Winslow Bulldogs 60-56 in a very close second round match of the 3A State Conference.

The result improved Northwest Christian’s performance to 21-8 and shifted them to a Prescott match on February 25 with the winner in the game between American Leadership at Queen Creek and Pusch Ridge. Winslow ended an outstanding season with a 22-8 record.

Northwest Christian took an 18-12 lead in the first half but the Bulldogs fought back and the game was leading 31-31 in half. Crusaders took a 48-42 lead after 3/4 and could get out with a victory.

Logan Moser leads all scorers with 21 points for Northwest Christian’s Northwest Christian Eddie Van Sant with 20 points for Crusaders and Cameron Adams also doubles.

Winslow is led by Terrell Young and Zachary Wagner, each with 16 points. Dustin Richard scored 14 points for the Bulldogs.

Chinle Lady Wildcats defeated the Lady Bulldogs Winslow with the score 53-46 in the Conference Basketball League 3A Arizona in the Bulldogs Lady Sassy Classy And A Tad Badassy Shirt match in the second round in Chinle on 21 May 2.

The victory improved Chinle’s record rose 16-10 and ended Winslow’s season with a 19-10 record for the Bulldogs Lady Sassy Classy And A Tad Badassy Shirt season.
